The Fabrication Fest will be outdoors in the 195 District Park from 1-5pm on Saturday, November 4, 2023.

The focus of the event is on those places where design and fabrication meet. Everything from traditional methods of making things to digital fabrication with machines would be a good fit for this show-and-tell event.

  • If you’re able to bring your own table(s) and/or tent, please do (and let us know in the proposal form). We have plenty of chairs and a good number of cafe round-top tables (30 inch diameter), but only a limited number of long tables.

  • There is Wi-Fi available in the park, but if you need to move a lot of data for your exhibit to work, please consider bringing your own hotspot.

  • We have some power available, but would have difficulty powering high-current devices such as laser cutters, CNCs, etc. If your exhibit involves equipment that you can plug into a regular power strip, it will probably work well.

  • There is no charge to exhibit. However, if you are selling, and you do not have a State of Rhode Island sales tax permit, you may need to pay a $10 fee for a temporary sales tax permit. We will collect this fee and pay it to the state on your behalf.

If you have any questions, send us an email and we’ll get back to you!
